Within each project, we look for core competencies that relate to your sector. This type of analysis work is key to building the foundation framework around your resume. Competency based interviewing is a technique that has long been used, but the application of competency based resumes was first pioneered by itouch in 2001. Adopting a similar technique to STAR (situation, task, action and result); we look at qualifying individual points and achievements within the resume so that these can be better understood by the recruiter, and the value-add evident. For example, it's not enough to say "improved reporting systems" - we need to know why the systems needed improving, the issues you were faced with, the action you took to improve, and then the results.
